Journeys into the Bright World

Marcia Moore was a yoga teacher with a deep interest in consciousness expansion. Alongside her husband, who was an anesthesiologist, she explored dissociative anesthetics as a tool for achieving yogic enlightenment, believing it could catalyze direct experiences of higher states of mind. In 1978 they wrote Journeys Into the Bright World, detailing their anesthesia-fueled explorations into altered states and otherworldly realms. In 1979, Marcia vanished under mysterious circumstances. Her remains were found two years later in the woods, with her cause of her death still unsolved - fueling speculation that her experiments may have played a role in her untimely demise.
